“We’ve made an offer to him [Alston] but sometimes fans think it’s going to happen in 24 hours, it doesn’t,” he said. “He’ll have other options to consider and agents keep their cards very close to their chest but we’re not out of that one. “We’re still very much interested in Ryan Dow as well, that was left and we would revisit it at the end of the season. “We’ve been speaking to Keith Watson at St Mirren and I’ve been down in England looking at other players.” St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright says the club are still interested in securing the signing of Falkirk goalscorer Blair Alston but is not surprised it is proving to be a long process. The Perth side first made an approach for the 24-year old in January and are now waiting for him to consider an offer. Alston, who is out of contract at the Bairns this summer, has scored 11 goals for the side sitting second in the Championship and facing the Premiership play-offs when the league campaign ends next week. Wright is hopeful the club can not only agree on a deal with the attacking midfielder, but also Dundee United’s Ryan Dow and St Mirren’s Keith Watson who they are also keeping tabs on.
